Beurs metro station, also known as Bourse in French, is located in the heart of Brussels, Belgium. It holds significant historical importance as it is situated near the Brussels Stock Exchange building.

Beurs is a vital transportation hub for locals and tourists alike due to its strategic location in the city center. The station is well connected to different parts of Brussels, making it easy for people to visit important landmarks and attractions. Apart from being a metro station, Beurs also serves as an essential transportation hub connecting to other forms of public transportation, including buses and trams. This makes it a crucial point for commuters traveling within the city.

Beurs boasts notable architectural elements and design. Like many metro stations in Brussels, it exhibits a blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal.

The Bourse Station features two notable artworks. The first is “Ronde van België” by Gordana Micic, which is installed in the bike racks of the station. It offers a small mental game, seeking answers to certain questions. The artwork consists of a floor mosaic depicting a fictional course and a mural showing the profile of that same course. The terrain profile on the mural is partly surrounded by blue, symbolizing the sky, and partly by a cameo of green and red, representing the earth.

The second artwork is “Fietsers portretten” by An Marie van Gijsegem, which consists of ten portraits of cyclists caught in the lens of An Marie Van Gijsegem and printed on CeramicSteel.
