Transforming Classrooms | India
Polyvision’s collaboration with Teach for India is an example of the company’s commitment to shaping the next generation of leaders. Since 2015, Polyvision has donated hundreds of CeramicSteel whiteboards and chalkboards to participating schools in seven cities across India, and the partnership with Teach for India has continued annually ever since. Having witnessed firsthand the challenges posed by ineffective writing surfaces, Polyvision wanted to change the classroom landscape in schools that needed their durable and long-lasting surfaces most. With Polyvision’s contributions, the goal is to help reduce educational inequality in India and improve the learning environment so that future leaders can be nurtured.
A Clean Slate | Okmulgee, Oklahoma
Students and teachers at Oklahoma ACE High School were excited about the installation of state-of-the-art whiteboards in their classrooms, giving them a clean slate for learning and creativity. The production facility in Okmulgee donated the whiteboards, which are now installed throughout classrooms and other learning spaces. Such simple additions can make a big difference in a student’s learning experience.
Modern Additions | Amana Academy, Atlanta, GA
Polyvision values and supports education systems and students, both locally and internationally. This commitment led to a collaboration with the local charter school Amana Academy in Atlanta, where various resources were donated. Since 2005, the academy has been successful in education and is the first charter school for pre-K through eighth grade in Fulton County. Thanks to financial and material donations from local and national companies and organizations, Amana Academy is able to offer its students a unique educational experience.
Several CeramicSteel whiteboards and interactive boards have now found their place in many classrooms at the school, along with other office supplies. The new whiteboards and tools are a valuable addition to the excellent education already taking place at Amana Academy.
Advancing STEM | Okmulgee, Oklahoma
Through its educational partnership with Okmulgee ACE High School in 2016, the Okmulgee plant has been working to reshape learning by introducing students to local career opportunities and providing mentorship to young people exploring their future options. Since the start of this partnership, juniors and seniors have toured the large production facility each year for an in-depth look at the world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This experience—praised by students, teachers, and even the superintendent of Okmulgee Public Schools—gives local youth the chance to see STEM applications in practice.
Community Engagement
From classrooms to food banks – Polyvision recognizes the importance of giving back to our local and national communities and gladly makes its resources available to charitable causes. For example, we collaborate with a neighboring school in Oklahoma, where we provide mentorship to students, and we donate to schools within our communities.
Committed to Giving Back
Polyvision also actively supports local charitable initiatives, including food, clothing, and toy drives at all our global locations. The organization encourages employees to get involved in community projects and activities that personally inspire them, such as charity runs, bike rides, and volunteer work in their neighborhoods.
