Our products not only facilitate learning, teaching and collaboration; they are, due to their functional properties, sustainable products and often have a useful life of more than 25 years.
CeramicSteel is for 99% recyclable and became Europe’s first Cradle to Cradle certified product in 2006.
CeramicSteel contains no volatile organic compounds, making it the perfect material to support the requirements for a healthy indoor environment, and is certified Indoor Advantage Gold for Indoor Air Quality.
Producing CeramicSteel is an energy intensive process resulting in CO2-emissions. In 2008 Polyvision made the energy commitment to switch to 100% green electricity, resulting in zero scope 2 CO2-emission.
As a pioneer environmental and sustainable entrepreneurship and based on Polyvision’s general policy and executed actions, Polyvision was awarded with the “Charter environmental and sustainable entrepreneurship Limburg” five years in a row (2011 until 2015).
But we were not satisfied with that. That is why we had set ourselves the ambitious goal for an essential environmental footprint reduction of 25% by 2020, with 2010 as the reference year. We were proud to achieve a final reduction of 33%.
In 2022, we signed up for our next journey; becoming a UN pioneer Sustainable Developments Goals by 2025. Through a 3-year trajectory, Polyvision will embed sustainable entrepreneurship even more in the DNA. All starts from the 5 pillars of sustainability (People, Prosperity, Peace, Partnership & Planet) and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations to work on a business that is profitable for Polyvision, people and the environment.
Amongst others resistant to scratches and stains, CeramicSteel continues to provide an unmatched and consistent experience year after year. Due to the exceptional durability, we offer a lifetime warranty on the surface of our products.

What is Indoor Air Quality Certification?
Certify your interior products for low
VOC emissions with the most transparent indoor air quality (IAQ) standard for furniture and building materials. The Indoor Advantage and Indoor Advantage Gold standard aligns with both ANSI/BIFMA M7.1 and X7.1, and CA 01350. It is recognized by the EPA and GSA, and qualifies for many building rating systems, including LEED v4.1, BREEAM, WELL Building, and Living Building Challenge.
Polyvision has received the
“Charter environmental and sustainable entrepreneurship Limburg” five times in a row.
Charter has been awarded based on Polyvision’s general environmental and sustainability policy and Polyvision’s environmental and sustainability performance during the years 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015.
Specific improvement actions are done around these 10 themes:
100% green electricity
Producing CeramicSteel is
an energy intensive process resulting in CO2-emissions.
When too many greenhouse gases (such as CO2) are released into the air, the Earth’s temperature rises. This causes the climate to change, sea levels to rise and plants or animals to disappear.
In 2008 Polyvision made the energy commitment to switch to 100% green electricity, resulting in zero scope 2 CO2-emission.
The electricity comes from renewable energy sources like wind, sun and water.
TARGET 25% environmental footprint reduction by 2020, using 2010 as the base year. The footprint is based on these 4 operation pillars:
RESULT 33% environmental footprint reduction. Relevant executed actions:
Polyvision is committed to embedding sustainable entrepreneurship in our operations, enhancing resilience, efficiency, and talent retention. Sustainability
