With this donation, we aim to support the daily operations of both reception centers. We are confident the boards will serve their purpose for years and become a valuable addition to the centers’ activities.
The Red Cross Flanders reception center in Lanaken provides temporary accommodation and guidance to people seeking international protection.
Beyond offering a safe place to stay, the organization supports residents in their daily lives through personal guidance, educational activities, language classes, and social initiatives.
These activities give residents opportunities to develop new skills, build connections, and create more structure in their daily routines.
Staff members and volunteers dedicate themselves every day to making this support and these activities possible.
As part of our donation, we were invited to visit the Red Cross Flanders reception center in Lanaken for a guided tour.
During our visit, we had the opportunity to see behind the scenes and learn more about the center’s daily operations, the support provided to residents, and the various activities organized there.
The tour gave us a better understanding of the organization and the dedication of its staff and volunteers. It was a valuable experience that offered insight into everything involved in running a reception center on a daily basis.
