• A patient room at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia featuring images of natural scenery and soothing colors printed on CeramicSteel panels

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Patient rooms are the core of any hospital and should be structured and designed with the patient in mind. The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia understands this as they and the project’s architect, Ewing Cole, selected CeramicSteel as the choice for material for its magnetic capabilities, unique strength and durability. Thirty-three full-height, digitally-printed Flex 4 CeramicSteel panels were placed within 12 patient rooms throughout two floors of the hospital. From rolling hills and meadows to flowing rivers and streams, each room features images that reflect a natural landscape theme. Designtex and PolyVision worked together to create a peaceful space for these young patients and their families to relax and heal.
